Gena Loraine Kellar, M.Ed, LPC-Associate

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Christian Counselor, I bring over 24 years of experience working in education, including 16 years as a school counselor within Cy-Fair ISD. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, and families as they navigate a wide range of personal, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. I utilize a collaborative, supportive, and evidence-based approach drawing from Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Art Therapy. As a Christian counselor, I believe true healing addresses the mind, body, and spirit. 

My experience includes working with individuals facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, anger management concerns, divorce and separation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, abuse, grief, behavioral challenges, and life transitions. I have also helped students and families navigate important educational milestones, including four-year planning. 

Each person is unique, and their needs deserve individualized care. I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate environment where clients feel valued, understood, and empowered. Together, we will identify strengths, develop effective coping skills, overcome challenges, and work toward meaningful, lasting change that supports wellbeing.
